 Avacal is a Principality within the Kingdom of An Tir. It is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) comprised of the Provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and parts of British Columbia. The SCA is an international organization devoted to the research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century life, encouraging its participants to employ a knowledge of history to enrich their lives and the lives of others through events, demonstrations, and other educational venues. As an organization the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) values the principles of chivalry, honour, personal integrity, and artistry idealized in pre-Seventeenth century culture and society.
